The Southern Nebraska Register publishes death notices for members of the Diocese of Lincoln in the weekly "I Am the Resurrection" column. There is no charge for this service, but it is limited to persons who were members of parishes in the Diocese of Lincoln, or whose services were celebrated within the Diocese of Lincoln.

Announcements must be received at least one week prior to publication.

Anniversaries and Birthdays

The Southern Nebraska Register accepts wedding anniversary notices (for those married 40 or more years) and birthday announcements (for those turning 80 or older). There is no charge for this announcement, but it is limited to members of parishes in the Diocese of Lincoln.

Subscriptions

The Register operates on a 100% subscription policy, meaning that every household registered with a parish in the Diocese of Lincoln receives the Register. The parishes supply their list of parishioners to comprise the Register's mailing list, and they pay for their parishioners' subscriptions. They then collect payment from parishioners for the Register once a year, usually in February.

Subscriptions for persons not registered with a parish in the Lincoln Diocese may be arranged directly through the Register office. Subscription payments must be mailed in, and a renewal invoice will be sent each year.

Subscriptions to the Register are $13 per year in the Diocese of Lincoln and $20 per year elsewhere in the continental U.S.

About the Register

The Southern Nebraska Register is the official newspaper of the Catholic Diocese of Lincoln. The paper is sent to all Catholic households registered with parishes in the Diocese of Lincoln. The Diocese of Lincoln includes all parishes south of the Platte River in Nebraska, border to border, an area covering more than 23,000 square miles. The circulation is approximately 25,500.

The Register is published weekly, September through May, except the week following Christmas; bi-weekly June through August.
